What's New 2009
3 New Fields
We will be opening 3 new fields this year.
We will have a new field of Balsam, Fraser, and Spruce. The Balsam
area will be back by the woods. This will be the second crop of trees
from this area. The trees are 9 years old and ready for Harvest.
The Spruce area is on the big hill. This is also the second crop of
trees from this area. These trees are 8 and 9 years old. The
Fraser area is directly behind our house and proves to be the largest
selection of trees to choose from. This will be the first
harvest from this area. These trees are 11 years old.
More Parking

We constructed a larger parking lot to relieve the congestion
on the busy weekends. We are confident this addition is another
way we can provide better customer service. There was an abundance
of fill available from digging the pond for our irrigation system and
this fill was used to fill in a low area where the parking lot was
constructed. |
Irrigation System
| Although the irrigation
system is not new for 2009, it is worth mentioning as a major feature on
our Christmas tree farm. 2009 was yet another summer with a dry
spell. Although it was not a long dry spell, we were able to
provide ample moisture to our trees through this dry time.
Although, the irrigation system is very labor intensive, we are
confident the effort is well worth it in order to provide the best
possible product. You will see a sample picture of two trees
showing how long the tops grew this year because we were able to provide
enough moisture through the dry spell. |
